I was working crazy hours with no real vacation in years, and I kept thinking about this "once in a lifetime" retirement trip to Paris, Florence, and Rome. But one day I realized, why wait? I've always been obsessed with Europe, the history, the languages, the architecture, so I decided to just go for it.
That first international trip opened something in me. Walking streets where English wasn't the main language, navigating a different culture, discovering hidden corners beyond the guidebooks, I was hooked. But more importantly, I learned that even destinations that feel intimidating become extraordinary when you approach them with curiosity, preparation, and the right guidance.

I started Tailored Travels to share my love of exploring the world's most special destinations. I believe everyone should have the chance to experience its incredible nature and cultures, but most people have a bucket list without knowing where to start.
Having explored all seven continents myself, I've learned that even the most intimidating trips become easy adventures when you have an experienced advisor holding your hand through the process. Each trip has taught me what really makes a destination special, and honestly, it's usually not what shows up first on Google. Here's how I work with you: we start with a real conversation about where you've dreamed of going, what excites you, what makes you a little nervous, and how you like to travel. Are you an early riser who wants to catch sunrise over the Serengeti, or would you rather sleep in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before your game drive? Do you want every minute planned, or do you prefer some flexibility to wander?
Once I understand what makes you tick, I design an itinerary that feels like it was made just for you, because it was. I curate every detail, from the lodges and experiences to the pacing and flow of your days. My goal is for you to feel completely taken care of, confident that someone who knows these destinations inside and out has your back every step of the way.
Beyond the itineraries
Because the best travel advisors are travelers at heart
My personal bucket list is something I'm working through one destination at a time. At the top of my list is St. Petersburg, Russia, a destination that's eluded me so far, and I know it's not likely to happen anytime soon. The Summer Palace in that vibrant robin's egg blue is absolutely stunning, and I've always been fascinated by the history and mystery of Russia's royal family. But until then, I'll settle for cruising Norway's lush green fjords and getting lost in Morocco's winding medinas. Those are a couple of my upcoming destinations, and I love that they're completely different experiences.
Wherever I travel, I try to push myself to be a little more adventurous. Trying something new, testing my limits either physically or mentally. It doesn't have to be something big. It could be trying a new food or taking a "short walk" down 1,700 stairs, which can be more challenging than it sounds. I love working with clients who are stepping out of their comfort zones too, especially when they need a little encouragement along the way. I'm here to support you every step of the journey.

Airbnb (though I can accommodate select vacation rental properties and vetted VRBOs when they're the best option)
